Minimizing my Wardrobe

Minimizing My Wardrobe

During our COVID-19 lock-in I decided to begin the journey I've been wanting to for a while, minimalism. Previously, there had never been time to go through all my clothes after work, the gym, walking the dog, and eating. Now that those things are all at home I find that I have some time to tackle my closet. Below are some of the goodbye clothes!

Challenge

The major challenge in minimizing my wardrobe is that I have held onto things for an unreasonable amount of time. I have some strange bonds with certain articles of clothing, the memories are too sweet to warrant giving away the possession. However, there comes a time when there is just too much stuff. My biggest challenge is going to be finding a way to let go of those memories, ie store pictures on here to look back at (solutions, yay!).

The other major challenge is going to be not bringing in new stuff to replace the old unless absolutely needed. I want to live a more sustainable life where the clothes I do have I love and want to repair verses replace. I do feel it will take some time as well as trial and error before I reach that point in my wardrobe. Until then, I will be donating any clothing in good shape and honestly anything that I deem worthy of getting rid of. As long as it's in good shape I'll make sure it goes to a good home. Here goes!
