At the end of every month, I like to sit down and unwind. This reflection helps me be thankful for all the memories I've made and gives me a good look back at all that I've done in a given month. It's also the perfect time to get setup for the upcoming month. I like to build my monthly plans while looking at my year goals and making sure each thing I focus on gets me closer the the "me" I want to be. Here is what my monthly unwind and preparation looks like.
1. Reflection
a. Take a moment and look back on this past month, write down your wins and reflect on memories you made
2. Reset your space
a. “Spring” cleaning, go through and donate items that no longer serve you
b. Make sure everything has a home
3. Brain Dump
a. Write down all those thoughts that keep you up at night or are taking up space, rent free, in your brain
b. Create tasks out of those things or address those that require emotional responses so you can move forward
4. To-Do’s
a. Write down the big tasks that are needing to be completed and keep bringing brought over week to week
b. Get your digital space organized and setup for success
c. Set up appointments you need for self-care (doctor, dentist, etc.)
d. Plan your months events out (time with family, mini vacations, etc.)
5. Start/Stop List
a. Compile a realistic list of things to start doing this month and things you want to stop doing so you can visualize the best version of you for this upcoming month
6. Create your Monthly Goals and Weekly Goals
a. Go through and setup 3 top monthly goals
b. Make sure they are attainable and move you forward
c. Take those goals and create smaller goals for each week, feel free to add more as each week approaches as well
